NEW YORK CITY—Shrugging off a lagging performance in the first quarter, a panel of hotel company executives expressed confidence in the industry’s health—for the long-term.

“The next five to 15 years—and frankly the rest of our lives—will be fantastic in terms of travel and tourism, and what will happen with hotels,” declared Christopher Nassetta, president and CEO, Hilton Worldwide, earlier this week at the 38th annual NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference.
